Yes. everyone. IF able to be tested in match conditions be that way. If not once yearly in the lab. Doesn't matter your action looks dodgy or not. There is enough evidence that cleanest actions ado border on the limits.

It's happening too much in cricket for me to believe these guys just naturally fall away in their action. They're probably testing the very limits of what they're doing each time they play to try and gain some advantage.

Up until the Doosra came along we had real off-spinners bowling real off-spin, and taking wickets with their usual skill and guile. Tayfield, Laker, Prasanna, and Gibbs didn't need a dodgy delivery because they were actually very good at what they did. In fact, if the Doosra was banned then 95% of the chucking problem would go away.

FTR Prasanna had a doosra and the first to bowl it.

IMO there seems to be a consistent link between the Doosra and the problem of chucking during the last decade - and Senanayake is yet another reinforcement of that fact. Therefore, the obvious thing to do is for coaches to teach spinners how to bowl the Doosra properly so that the spinner stays out of the spotlight and in the game. I don't recall any question marks regarding Saqlain's action so perhaps his action can be used as the role model.

In other words, fix the Doosra and you more or less fix the problem of chucking - real or perceived.

This is getting ridiculous. Senanayke is one of those so valled mystery spinners not to bowl a doosra. He had a off break, arm ball and a seam up slider. He had a wristy off break, but given it away due to problems with the action earlier. Senanayake bowling a doosra is news to me.

My advice to SLC is to just repeat the test in WA. This time they can use that rupees for a better purpose than gobbling up for personal use.

^^ According to his hand position, looks more a carom ball or a front of the hand leggie. For a doosra, back of the palm will be visible to us.
