I don't think my side will be bowled out cheaply too often but having only four genuine bowling options and relying on Worrell and Samaraweera for part-time options is admittedly a huge risk.
I think 4 bowlers are fine. Its just that I'm not sure that Sobers and Rhodes being two out of those 4 in the team is the best idea.

Likely missed somebody obvious, but given I have Marshall and Bedser, I think a third bowler should fit in nicely, and one of the developers of reverse swing as well (if wiki is reliable)

Once we're all done, I suggest we do something similar to what Athers & have a vote off.

FTR, not happy with my bowling attack & should never have picked two specialist spinners in hindsight

I don't think selecting two spinners is a bad strategy at all given you've got three genuine quicks in your attack, and on tracks that suit slow bowlers having both Warne and Kumble is a deadly combination.

Love your bowling attack, especially considering Faulkner was more than handy as a leggie, not so keen on your batting line-up though :p

True, it's not like Warne & Kumble were absolute disasters on fast Australian wickets

Agree with Somerset. I think thats a pretty decent attack on the whole.

I like your team except for the having a makeshift opener and I dont think Dilshan can keep in tests (take that with a pinch of salt as I considered having Bert Sutcliffe as my keeper lol).

Reckon we should allow 48hrs of trading/swapping if both parties are happy before the vote-of

I wouldn't mind, but its possible that the players I want wont be given to me lol. Besides I'm reasonably happy with my team on the whole.

EDIT: How about this for a deal zinzan, Give me Kallis and I'll give you an opener with a 50+ average :D

Haha, yeah, haven't had mixed feelings to the extent I have now over the composition of my side, myself. :p Best bowling attack I've ever assembled in any draft, but not the most compelling batting lineups by any stretch. The odd thing is, if you cover up the names of the batters and focus purely on the numbers, it actually looks pretty awesome. Its the players themselves that make the difference.

batting - 45, 65, 55, 49, 50, 42, 40, 21, 13, 13, 10.

bowling - 21, 23, 23, 23, 26.

Mainly coz you have conveniently ignored the amount of runs they made.. ;) :p

Five of the batsmen have 10,000 + FC runs. All but Dempster have Test aggregates comparable to Grace or Trumper.. The reason why most people, including myself, won't the batting lineup very high to has nothing to do with numbers. Its similar to how people are justified in rating Pietersen higher than Yousuf. Numbers don't come into the picture, except for Dempster.

Been quietly following this and I think GI Joe's team is excellent personally.
I agree - its an awesome side with few weaknesses. Particularly keen on his bowling line-up actually and I would definitely rate it superior to mine TBH.
