James Knott?! He never played ODIs!

(Pretty sure Gary Pratt never twelfth-manned a ODI either TBH)

I mean Alan - I forgot the 1990s restriction. No idea who to go for as keeper.

Gary Pratt may not have subbed in ODIs but he's sure as hell will for my team. He could sub for, say, Ricky Ponting if he got a career threatening injury, which would surely provoke a hilarious tantrum from the opposition captain.

Mahanama terribly unlucky not to be even 12th man.

Any energetic players in the field who were not great fielders? Can't look past Muralitharan. Or Ntini.

Murali was a great fielder and has taken blinders in the field. He was much reserved in his diving after he dislocated his shoulder.

Speaking of Sussex part-timers, Dwayne Smith is an awesome fielder, one of the best in the world right now without a doubt.

Mohammad Kaif, for all his effort, is very ineffective, both in his fielding and running between the wickets. Drops some easy catches as well. I think Rohit Sharma and Suresh Raina are way better.

His movement and anticipation is second to none, whenever I've seen him his ground fielding has been shoddy tstl.

Healy as keeper in that XI perhaps?

Would have Logie for Arthurton in ODIs as well.

Carl Hooper worth a shout for a post-90s test XI? Brilliant slipper imo.

I edited Logie out because I don't know how good he was away from short leg, and he couldn't field there much in an ODI.

I can't bring myself to pick Healy in any team. Sorry, I just can't.

Hooper was a great slip, no doubt about it. I went for Hick because his arm was so good in the deep, which us useful when the field is set back

Ponting is definitely in the top 5 somewhere. Roger Harper and Andrew Symonds also come to mind.

I never really rated Jonty Rhodes. Fantastic stopper but he could only really field in one or two positions well, average catch and could not hit the stumps to save his life. I think you have to do more than that. Preferred Gibbs, to be honest
