Robin Smith needs to retract his comments and stop supporting a former administration and culture which brought Yorkshire into severe disrepute.

It needs to be pointed out that this Robin Smith shouldn't be confused with the South African born Robin Smith who played for England and who now resides in Australia.

****ing hell, the chairman of the club who's also in charge of the league calling him in to discipline him for breaching social media policy (ie. speaking out) is just gross.
you wonder why people don't blow the whistle and then see **** like this it's just so... it makes your skin crawl

The fact that the complainant was brought before a disciplinary hearing for voicing his concerns on social media is, IMO, far worse than the incident of 'blackfacing' at a fancy dress party. The club chair, Nigel Kinch's actions are totally unacceptable while the fancy dress get-up is more a case of being ill-advised and lacking in understanding of behaviour that may be regarded as racist.

Absolutely. I hope the ECB are investigating the lower levels of the game as much as they are the county game. God knows what they'd find if they dig. Yorkshire and Leicestershire are two counties with significant South Asian populations but it's depressing that this kind of behaviour persists. I just can't get why anyone thinks blacking up is remotely acceptable or amusing in 2022. Do people not ask themselves whether they should be doing this?
