That's it, forget the other stat, the fact the Keaton Jennings is our 2nd most prolific opener since Cook is the most damning thing of all
He must have the worst record of all of them in England. Maybe Roy I suppose.

Will say, though we have done what we should, hugely disappointing Old Trafford pitch, normally gives great cricket with value for shots, nice to time, and bounce for the bowlers.

Actually think our bowling line-up may do alright, not Sure Archer or Wood would have done much. Though obvs, would be a dream for Jimmeh.

Stokes crawling along nicely. This is the same bloke with the fastest double century in tests.
He is a stop-and-go player: shuts shop or goes bang-bang, often in the same innings - tomorrow he will go bang-bang after today's tuk-tuk

Misbah used to do that. Was rightly known as tuk-tuk but also has the fastest century along with Richards. Apparently Barrington hit quite a few sixes too but only has an overall SR of 41 (I think).

So disappointing from WI. Same feeling as last year's WC after they looked like contenders initially only to come off the boil in extremely aggravating fashion (different setup notwithstanding). Hope they get a dressing down tonight and come back with some purpose.

Might be too late for this match even if they fight back tomorrow. A good day for a batting side this after losing the toss.

Very disappointing. It almost looks like s different side out there. 3 fresh bowlers for England might prove to be a masterstroke.

Haven't seen a ball of this match but just wanted to post this. Stokes is the MVP in all of cricket right now. Everytime I open up cricinfo he seems to have made a significant contribution.

Averaging 60 with the bat and 20 with the ball in 2020 (5 tests)

Fantastic partnership. A very mature response to try and play the long game on a slow pitch.

Windies let themselves down after they got an oppertunity from Chase either side of lunch. Some really wayward and tired bowling and two drops means you are probably are going to take 3 wickets all day, and this probably isn't a pitch to put the opposition in, even if it did make sense given their lineup.

Projected score from here is 470, which would be amazing, but I expect WI to come back stronger and do some damage with the second new ball.
