Interesting to see how Johnson got the ball to swing so much, was it swinging that much when England bowled? Have the conditions changed, or just the bowlers?

Johnson made a similar performance against SA here in the 1st innings, later SA chased down 400. Siddle had a hat-trick in Brisbane in the 1st innings, then England piled on 500/1.

This is not over.

Isn't this a funny game, for all the talk of how rubbish this Australian team is, they come out and do this today, and if they win this game, you'd have to say they're huge favourites going into Melbourne and Sydney. Exciting stuff!

Australia aren't out of the water yet. Anderson could still bowl well (believe it's too early for Swann to be a major factor) and England could well pile on the runs in the next dig. Our batting, barring Brisbane, has also been pretty dire so far this series.

End of the road for Collingwood?

Same thing was said after Headingley in '09 and look how well we went at the Oval

Oz batting really needs to stand up here.

They have an absolutely golden opportunity to put the team in a fantastic position and failure could cost some guys dearly

Yeah I tend to feel that way too, but 5 of our top 6 failed to make runs in the first innings, surely they won't bomb out like that again...
That's what we thought at Adelaide.....

Watson and Hughes need runs in the next session. Or Ponting can finally score some runs.
