who the **** is lloyd harris? i hope the answer doesn't turn out to be "the guy who upset federer in the first round of the 2019 wimbledon championship"...

Thiem joining the other two imposters from yesterday on the plane home. That’s seeds 5,6 and 7 gone. Still waiting for a sign that a decent new challenger is on the horizon. If any of the big three don’t make the semis it could be a wretched line up.

people like querrey, isner, millman (part of the new generation of up-and-comers) et al can cause some upsets...federer, djokovic, nadal in semis isn't guaranteed...

Nadal and Novak must be loving these slow courts especially Rafa who has been ambushed by hitters early in the first week a few times.

Tomic is a berk and frankly not that good, a semi at wimbledon years ago and absolute **** all since. Doesn't even win the challenger events he shows up to.

T'was the quarters. 2011.
Ha that's what makes it even worse, lots of average players have reached a quarter final here and there in there career and done f all else. I recall he beat Soderling who was pretty much dead that day.

This is a spectacular meltdown by Kyrgios, who's pissed off that Nadal isn't getting ready to return at the pace at which he's serving. He'll probably tank the next two sets now, though he went up a break and was playing pretty well at the start of this set. Just lost his head and got broken back.

Some of Kyrgios's shots are breathtakingly spectacular, such a moody player, but if he finds the right time to strike in a rally, the guy is absolutely lethal.

And these two guys absolutely hate each other, which is rare in this modern age of tennis. Adds an extra layer of drama to this match.

Kyrgios broke back with a brilliant game after that tirade and now has three set points. One set all.

Probably the fact it is against Nadal is the only reason that Kyrgios hasn't thrown in the towel. Anyone else he would down tools, against him it may raise his game to new levels.

Kerber beaten. A bit unfortunate to see the defending Champion on Court 2. Can’t imagine Djokovic being dumped out there. She hasn’t achieved much since last Wimbledon. Maybe suddenly winning the biggest tournament out of the blue at the age of 30 lessened her motivation. Marion Bartloi barely played after winning the tournament.

Oof. He hammers a passing shot straight at Nadal now. Gets a glare. The handshake at the end of this match, if there is one, is gonna be fun.

This match is absolute theater. The mutual hatred is making it an amazing spectacle. Nadal up 5-4, he's going to push hard for the break here.
