Game over. Had them on the ropes twice in the test match and CCK and farmer Stead have refused to put the foot on the throat. Conservative batting and, unbelievably at 50/5, conservative field settings. And the spinners have all **** the bed. **** me, you attack at 50/5 and if someone plays a counter attacking knock and comes off then fair enough, at least you tried.

The only way this tactic will work is if this pitch has somehow become a road. But watch India's spinners make it look like a minefield straight away as we get shot out for 150, a score which we might have been chasing if we had attacked them more at 50/5. **** sake.

Whatever it takes!!!
Sehwag 2.0 making so many Indian fans taste it has been pretty funny tbh

Have become more convinced of Karun post his Bangalore knock more than the triple, funnily enough. Think he and Shreyas Iyer will be the real deal if and when they get the chance. Has weaknesses he needs to improve but the upside is very very high, at least as a test batter.
Bad year for Shreyas Iyer to fall off the radar, tbh. Else, he would be a in shoe-in by now.

They have been mostly ineffective, wonder how much of it us down to not having any cricket leading into this. Ajaz was not this wayward on his previous tours.
Can't think of any other reason other than not used to SG ball and lack of match practice. He's been very good in UAE, Sri Lanka and even in UK.

Well this slipping away is disappointing. Iyer annoyingly comfortable and able to score quickly, match-winning couple of knocks.
And the spinners have all **** the bed.
That's been the difference. I really thought Ajaz and Somerville were a decent bet having done the business a couple of times elsewhere, but they've been nowhere near. Not at the standard we needed let alone the standard of India's spinners. The contrast extra strong with Southee and Jamieson being immense, and wishing for Wagner. Yes, I regret even countenancing the idea of selecting spin bowlers. Lockie Ferguson still in India?

Will be entertaining watching us bat, anyway.

Okay. Don't think we'll bowl them out them out. Declaration predictions? Would Rahane declare tonight? Say get 5 or 6 overs in before the light goes?
