*Official* - India in West Indies

Well, scratch that now....
India in West Indies 2011: Barath, Rampaul return; still no room for Gayle | Cricket News | West Indies v India | ESPN Cricinfo

I thought the natural follow-up in order to get some momentum would be to include Gayle in the team for the final ODI in front of his Jamaican crowd, giving him some practice before his return to the side for the first Test at Sabina Park.

Well done, WICB, you've now ensured that there will be little or no crowds for the final ODI and the first Test, which is stupidly being played from Monday-Friday when there are no public holidays. Jamaica's holiday system is now modelled on the US system, not the British, so most working folks only have two weeks a year, and how many of them are going to take time off from work to see a WI side sans Gayle? In addition, it's in the middle of the school exams, so working people are going to save their hols for the summer holidays. It makes no sense in playing this first Test during the week, and not over a weekend....
8-)
Yeah, the West Indian organizers are stupid. We are with you on this one.:)

Yeah, the WICB are stupid and spineless for doing what the BCCI tell them to do....
Just because the BCCI tells them to start the first Test on Monday June 20, doesn't mean that the WICB have to follow them, like a slave follows his master. They're in so much of a hurry to accommodate India's trip to England, and cram three Tests into the only available time slots, that they are not thinking about where the spectators are coming from.

u got any source? or u just being urself again? :p
Nah no source. I thought I remembered reading it here that the BCCI were leaning on the WICB to schedule the test series in such a manner. Could be wrong though

Some people will find anything to moan about. If the BCCI scramble to find a way to organize more Test cricket, they get criticized. If they'd only played two Tests like Pakistan did recently, then they would have probably got criticized as well. Can't win.

Not really moaning. It's pointing out that the test attendance is going to be piss poor because its scheduled without one weekend day.

BCCI is obviously the powerless victim though

The should take a lesson from WICB selectors who have time and again shown so much guts when dealing with their best players.
