Yeah. Bit unfortunate because I’m pretty sure it was just his natural follow through, but you’re not staying on the pitch when you land on someone’s ligaments like that. There’s a tendency to overstate how dangerous red card tackles actually are but that could’ve genuinely wrecked Bellerin’s career.

Fantastic game though. Strange how we defended much better from 3-1 onwards, even with ten men. The Xhaka and Herrera subs helped a lot.

Shearer saying what he saw from United this game was as good as what we've seen from City this season is an all time take.

United fans on talksport were saying that if they're that open against City they'll get slaughtered. Some were even advocating rehiring the bus. It's a good thing football isn't quite as black and white as that.

They weren't really open (christ they had less than 25% possession) they were just really bad defensively bar blocking things and De Gea magic.

Have only seen 5 minutes worth of highlights but what the actual **** were those first 10 minutes?

Unreal assist from Ramsey though... and the ball before from Sanchez

But it's incredibly difficult, as is made apparent by the rare struggles of even world class players like Laurent Koscielny.

I would say he'd get on well with Billy Bowden but the pair of them would be too busy looking at their own reflections to actually talk to each other.

I mean it's obvious he was doing it, and it's become an epidemic on English football, refs making decisions on the basis of what would make their lives easiest rather than applying the laws of the game.

So at least by admitting it and provoking so much condemnation he might spark a backlash.
