*Official* Bangladesh in England

The weather looks like it could make it tricky for batting in the morning. Really hope we win and bat first nonetheless, should make a better test for us.

Yeah want us to bat first Bangladesh 60/6 at lunch would not do anyone any good, just pissed off that I cannot afford to go.

Bit of overconfidence in here considering Bangladesh haven't been rolled over in 3 days since Nov 2008.
It'll be a beating but I don't think it will be an absolute pasting.

Cerainly hope they do not and I really like them as a side, just that the Lions match does not bode well and the weather has taken a turn for the worse, could be some cloud cover tomorow morning. Have to hope that Tamim and Shakib are fit enough to perform at theit best.

Bangladesh will suffer in the first test mach. Tamim, Shakib, Mahmudullah have never played in England before.. But hopefully these talented players will put up a better show in the second test match..
Thats what happened the last time Bangladesh toured..
They were rolled over in the first test performed much better in the second test with Aftab Ahmed getting a 80 odd including a six off a pull shot from a Flintoff delivery to get his 50.. I will always remember that haha because he was fending those short deliveries from Flintoff and they got in a short leg for the catch and as soon as they do, he goes for the pull shot lol..

Well its not exactly a big sample size is it?, they have played 3 tests outside Bangladesh in that time and 2 of them were against West Indies G. So in that time they haven't been rolled over for 1 test match outside Bangladesh yes.

I actually think they will put up a decent showing here and pass 400 in at least one of the tests.

Unfortunately, I think it is going to be really ugly

I know there are scheduling issues but surely it would be fairer on the Bangas to play them late in the summer on "better" decks

Bangas won the toss and will field, should be an interesting morning.

Appparently anyone in Europe (outside the uk) can watch all Englands tests this summer on ESPN player for free. Nice for our continental friends.

Like the XI a lot. Really hope Finn goes well, as I think he's a bowler of real potential. I'd much rather see him in the side in Australia than Tim Bresnan.

WTH is Nick Knight doing in the Sky Sports T20 advert too? An umpire-themed dance routine, looked like a prize plum.

Think he was referring to actual Tests, tbf.

Looking forward to this, mainly just to get back into Test matches. Seems like forever.

Decent shout (looked so in realt ime) for LBW bowled by Shahadat at Cook, but very good decision by Asoka, inside edge and possibly too high.

Lovely off drive from Cook for the first boundary of the morning, don't see too many drives down the ground from Cook, all the work on his technique perhaps opening up a new strength.

Bit of swing around, for Shahadat and Robiul, but no great pace. Presumably Robiul is classed as a genuine swing bowler, otherwise would have expected Rubel to take new ball.

As for England's selection, they've gone with the expected formation of four specialist bowlers, nice to see Morgan in the side.

Cook gone. 2nd time he's been caught on the crease to the in-swinging ball. Looked very close to me, with the only doubt being the bounce.

Cook's gone early!! Pretty identical to the first LBW shout, only no inside edge this time, but again looked too high. Asoka in customary fashion has undone one good decision he's made with a pretty average one here.

Hawkeye shows comfortably going over. Good bowling from Shahadat early on here, nice shape back into the left handers.
