They bombed a certain try in the opening minutes & were really bad thereafter

Being thrashed by the Dragons & Bulldogs in their first 2 games is not good

Great results for the dogs and the tigers. Hopefully they can add a bit of interest to proceedings as the season goes on. I might even watch the replay of the Tigers game on Kayo sometime today.

This Manly vs Parra game has been a cracker so far.

Parra doing exceptionally well considering they have Morgan Harper in their team.

Under the pump early but the great sides rally and get it done. Best part of that game was watching both halves control it with their kicking games when their respective teams were busted. It's such a great skill to have. Worst part was obviously the left edge. Don't know why they didn't swap the wingers at half time to separate the n00b and the turnstile.

Last year they'd have rolled over in that game. Decent signs. Junior P off the bench is crazily good and barring injuries should definitely stay there. The difference he and Materson make against tiring defense is incredible.

They made an adjustment by having the 3rd man in come up a few times instead and force them to pass flat footed to the centre which helped immensely. Still, after 10 years of BArthur coaching the outside backs to be the way they are it's exhausting to watch each and every week.

They are indeed.

Fortunately the cavalry arrives next week in the shape of a 120kg Fijian winger who also rushes in and only has a dip when he's 20 out in attack, and an ex-Canberra winger who played decently in the centres last year but is a solid player at best.

Club saying eight weeks apparently. Massive loss. Be interesting to see if they go Brown to seven and Cartwright, Asi or Matto to six. I'd take an early punt on Sanders and minimize the disruption to the spine. Be interesting to see if they have the stones to do it. I get the impression they're more keen to give younger guys a crack this year.
