Lara got 2 when he broke the highest score world record (from his own teammates the end time), and then one from England when he retired. Probably got one from Pakistan when he retired from tests too ?

Has there been many greats who played their last Test match against Australia over the past 20 years AND announced retirement before the Test? I can't think of any at all.

Didn't Collingwood announce his retirement during the Sydney Test, not before it?

Can't recall whether Gatting and Gooch announced their retirements during or before the 1994/95 Perth Test.

I'm almost certain we went into the Sydney Test knowing it would be Collingwood's last.
