Drafts being moved out of CC and into games

That does indeed make much more sense. As I said when the issue first arose, it doesn't make sense to have cricket and non-cricket games together.

Whatever it takes!!!
This is a bit of a nitpick but I think we should name the subforum in CC as "Forum Games - Cricket Based" and the one in OT as "Forum Games - Non-cricket Based"

Agree with you, that's much tidier. I've renamed them.
Could I suggest we rename the sub "Forum Games - Cricket Based" to just "Cricket Drafts".

Seems like drafts are really the only things in there. And it might make it easier for new members to know what's in there.

No, because
A) there is also a quiz game and some simulation leagues

B) we would like to encourage more such games (prediction games, cricket captain simulations, etc.)

Having"drafts "as part of the subforum description text is a good idea though.

I personally think things like Harsh's quiz thing should be in main Cricket Chat as it's an engaging conversation basically anyone can participate in at any point. It's not made for a small group of users like a draft. And new members of the site will find it an easy thing to get involved in. They might not even find it in the Games section.

Having "drafts" as part of the title would be very beneficial imo.

"Cricket Drafts, Sims and other Games"???

Yessssss.

If many people who post in draft threads don't bother commenting in CC, the collective IQ of the latter subforum will increase by a factor of about seven. This is a great move. Streamlining drafts into their own subbie is the best thing to happen to CW since Robelinda posted here back in the day.

This is CW's equivalent to the Andrew Voss corner post rule in the NRL, it's that good.

I mean you guys don't know that reorganizing websites (links, buttons, colour, font sizes) has impact on engagement? There are professionals who specialise in this. And usually they look at data to come at such conclusions. Those who say it must be so because I think so are not taken seriously.
Hopefully the people charged with doing this aren't the dreaded solution architects.

You'll miss us in CC. You'll see.

Would you like me to post you $5 so you can buy a pair of AA batteries for cumulative cost of the extra four clicks of the mouse you'll have to make every day? Honestly, you'll still be in CC. You're not that much of a mouth breather that you'll default to the draft threads; and the ones who do default to them add nothing to broader CC anyway.

Think of this as like women getting the vote - sure it's scary and maybe awful, but it will cut out you having to hear periodic whining from me about drafts stinking the joint up, and it will save me valuable time having to scroll past the pestilence of those threads. It's ultimately a win-win.

this kind of condescending twaddle is making me reconsider the wisdom of the decision
