Oh dear - 4kg - depends on the purity but 10 years is likely to be the starting point - a third off if he cops a plea and a bit more if he "assists" in the apprehension of others but he's going to do some time is Mr Lewis - get a cricket loving judge and I'd regard as an aggravating factor and give him an extra 12 months for his virtually constant under achieving with the three lions on his chest!

Sobering thought he's only 40 - seems to have been out of the game for years yet to throw up a hoary old chestnut he's still at an age after which Sir Jack Hobbs score 100 centuries

Wild guess but I reckon a fairly significant chunk of the junk was headed towards the noses of some other cricketers. You get the feeling a serious look into this and where it was going would uncover something ya wsh you hadn't.

Still bowls fairly rapidly, was playing club cricket in Essex last year, shan't be doing that for the forseeable future it would seem, what a strange thing to do.

Yeah, heard the odd few bits and pieces about how common cocaine-taking is among cricketers.

Though TBF, it's ridiculously common among many types. I just cannot understand it. I made the decision at the age of 6 or 7 years old that I was never touching the stuff (or heroin, LSD, speed etc. either) and I've never wavered from that. Why anyone would want to is simply beyond me.

Nah seriously, people dealing in that much stuff would never take the risk of getting it into the country unless it already had somewhere to go. I'd wager that Lewis would be more worried about pissed-off 'creditors' in jail than the court process at this stage.

I'm just busting your balls, mate. I myself have never taken any intoxicating substances of any sort, never smoked and have about two beers/year, at Christmas generally.

Not wanting to get into an argument that will be blown out of proportion, but perhaps this is the reason why people find you so difficult to argue with, because you can't understand other peoples opinions and points of view.

Drug-taking occurs for any number of reasons Rich, as I'm sure you'll know. A bit of understanding towards other people wouldn't go amiss
