And the awesome batting lineup gets even awesomer. How does he do it?

Didn't expect I'd get Morkel this round tbh. Was hoping for a pure bowler really, but won't complain.

Really like the batting linebupnwith Dilshan at the top of the order, where he has a tremendous record over the last couple of years. Just need one aggressive no. 5/6 batsman to go with Symonds, Kemp and Wasim's big hitting in the final overs and I'll be set.

Pretty surprised that people still have more than 2 million to spank on 1 player at this stage.

I think kallis or hussey was the 2 million player.

Pothas

Cricket Web: All-Time Legend
Was Hussey, I just missed out on him. Going to have to pick up some good batsmen but bowling is awesome that I don't really care.

Whatever it takes!!!
love my middle order now.. Hussey the perfect guy for 6 for me...

Team so far:

-
-
Ricky Ponting (c) - 12895 runs @ 43.12 @ SR 80.1 - 148 Catches
Javed Miandad (vc) - 7381 runs @ 42 @ SR of 67 - 7 wkts @ 42 w/ ER of 4.1 - 71 Catches - 2 Stumpings
AB De Villiers (wk) - 3603 runs @ 44 @ 89 SR - 63 Catches (Protea keepers don get many stumpings ;) )
Michael Hussey - 4207 runs @ 52 @ 88 SR - 80 Catches
Richard Hadlee - 1751 runs @ 22 @ SR of 76 - 158 wkts @ 21 w/ ER of 3.3 - 27 catches
Jason Gillespie - 289 runs @ 13 @ SR of 79 - 152 wkts @ 25 w/ ER of 4.2 - 10 catches
Waqar Younis - 969 runs @ 10 @ SR of 67 - 416 wkts @ 23 w/ ER of 4.68 - 35 catches
Ray Price - 73 wkts @ 35 w/ 3.88 ER
Courtney Walsh - 227 wkts @ 30 / 3.83 ER

Paul Strang - 1090 runs - 22 batting avg - 66 batting SR - 30 catches - 96 wkts - 33 bwlg avg - 4.36 ER
Joginder Sharma - did he ever play ODIs?

And yeah, I was the top bid... to confirm the open secret.. :) Walsh cost me so less that I could splurge on the guy I really, REALLY needed at 6 to ensure my lower order would almost never be required.. Now to shop some openers...

Mushtaq Ahmed not bad for a $14 bid - unfortunately with Warne, Shastri and Mendis (and I suppose the option of Sobers too) he or Mendis will probably have to sit on the subs bench.

All members of squad (though not likely to be the final XI):
Nick Knight
Michael Vaughan
Kumar Sangakkara
Andy Flower
VVS Laxman
Sir Garfield Sobers
Ravi Shastri
Shane Warne
Sreesanth
Mushtaq Ahmed
Ajantha Mendis

Erm, I don't see why not, although I'm not entirely sure what it would prove. If there is then I won't release the values paid etc till afterwards, see who gets the best "deal" in it!

As its turned out, its a very good team for a pitch where scoring 150 in 50 overs is a top score with a pitch thats a minefield and spinners bowl all day - but that certainly wasn't my initial intention though!

Really glad I got Kallis. I was in desperate need of a 5th bowling option. that he's scored over 10000 ODI runs at an average of 45 is just a bonus.

Still think you lack an actual middle order bat and a bit heavy on the biffers nate,, :) Think you should bat Imran at 5.. He was pretty good batting at 3 or 4 in the 92 WC, wasn't he?

Else, you should have McCullum at 5.. Definitely not Klusener..

And if I were you, I would be more excited about my bowling line up.. ;)
