Missed out Tendulkar by a small margin.

Ended up paying ,i think a bit in the excess for Trevor Chappell.

Good all round package(batting, bowling and Fielding) ,but could have gotten him for cheaper.

Got an amazing keeper and a more than useful lower order bat at a bargain price. Spend as much as you can in the next few rounds. After that, I'm gonna stuff your team with junk players, lol.

Got 3 amazing players in my bag till now, and more importantly, have enough bucks in my kitty to get at least 8 more players as amazing as the first 3.

Team so far:

Sanath Jayasuriya (To tonk your fast bowlers at the top, and you better not face him as a 5th bowler on a turning track)
Mark Boucher (To catch everything that comes within his reach, and a little bit beyond; and just one of the few power hitters in my team for the end overs)
Shaun Pollock (You better select your openers carefully; and your death bowlers, too)

Very pleased to get Andy Flower, as after missing out on a few very good wicket-keeper batsmen hes an extremely useful acquisition.

Kapil Dev is a pretty good player for under 2 million.

Only just missed out on Tendulkar by a very narrow margin, but happy to get my second choice in Saqlain arguably the greatest ODI spinner ever (yes, better average and strike rate than Murali, plus less minnow bashing against Zimbabwe and Bangladesh) and at a reasonable price too.

Kemp will almost certainly be 12th or 13th man in this team, but for now he is in the side. Would be a brilliant player to have if the SuperSub rule was still in place.

Mark who is D Patel? No idea who that may be off the top of my head, and Cricket Archive doesn't have any Indian called D Patel ever having played international cricket. Maybe I'm being an idiot and missing something, but could you clarify it please?

Nevermind the inflated bowling average, one of the better ODI spin bowlers of the early 90's. I could think of many worse players to fall into my side than Patel.

Ah, Tendulkar. Nice!! Didn't expect to get him with all the other people vying for him. What happened to that 10 million bid now? ;)

Over the moon to get him though. With Tendulkar, Rhodes and Murali, I have very little to complain about.

Now back to Inter v Bayern and SL v NZ.

Whatever it takes!!!
Ah.. shucks.. I never get through these rounds without a sheep.. :( Gotta say I must have been awfully close to getting quite a few of these players!!!

marc, one request. after every round could you please publish a list of all the players who have been drafted thus far in all the rounds?

After a few more rounds, things are going to get messy and people will tend to forget which all players are remaining. Then going back to each of the round result posts will be cumbersome.

Pretty interesting start to the ODI version, is it just 10 mil for 13 players, it looks like some of you guys are paying big money at the moment. I doubt 7 of the players will go for over a million this round..
