Well i got a team called Worcester Warriors for my friendly. There ratings are fairly simlar to mine going by his last ratings.

Code:
              Jaffna Jets Worcester Warriors
Top Order: strong strong
Middle Order: competent competent
Lower Order: abysmal abysmal
Seam Bowling: proficient respectable
Spin Bowling: respectable respectable
Fielding: woeful woeful
His got the odd proficient spinner rating, but he usually gets a competent seam rating in those matches, so i presume he plays one spinner in those games. He also seems to bat his best batsmen down the order a fair bit and gets profcient/respectable batting ratings. A lot of his top players are all rounders/keeper-batsmen so its hard tell how good they are. Most of his specialist seem to be strong to superb, with most 21/22 so either they been finshed training or slowing down.

I think with a bit of luck i can beat him, but really im not sure if i want to move into his Divison II. Below are the guys coming 2nd to 5th, not in order. I think i might struggle in this league and might be better off tactically and financial to stay in Div III. The big positive of not moving up is i can rest Jeithoon for a season and just flood him with nets to fix up his stamina and secondaries.

Code:
Disneyland Rude Awakening Moratai CC Kodiaks
Top Order: remarkable quailty proficient superb
Middle Order: mediocre competent respectable competent
Lower Order: woeful worthless abysmal worthless
Seam Bowling: proficient superb proficient superb
Spin Bowling: wonderful competent proficient proficient
Fielding: mediocre mediocre woeful woeful
I don't what should i do, have a go and try and move up or just stay in the same league. Any of you guys got any advice for me. ATM i'm just going to try and win the playoff and then see what happens. There a good chance i will lose anyway.

On a Twenty20 front i got Div I side so im out.

Decided to throw my playoff game as I really don't want to be anywhere near the top division of India at the moment.

So I shall be letting my batsmen have a bowl and the worst batsmen opening up. I knew there was a reason why all of my bowlers were worthless/worthless batsmen.

Oh and my 20/20 group is faeces bar one team. They have remarkable top order but woeful everything else. Both of the opening bats for the team are gun all-rounders (both with 4000+ runs @ >100 and 100+ wickets @ <15) but they don't appear to have bowled for the last season.

I lost by 29 runs -- got bowled out by a spinner, on a cracked pitch. Brooker only managed a pathetic 1/85 -- pretty poor for a destructive Rem/Wond LF on a pitch made for him.

Yes folks, Summers did take 10-2-53-0. Yes the last 4 deliveries with the match tied were a wicket and 3 dots. Yes I did have a near perfect bat so with the gulf in class they shouldn't have been anywhere near my run-rate.

Just absolutely farcical.

Scaly, you have rocketed as a person in my estimations - Not that you were low in my estimations before hand! But I couldn't agree more with your sentiments regarding Rodgie. There is no getting away from the fact that he was largely the architect of his own misfortune - and indeed if he's been calling people Nazi's and Paedos on other forums then there needed to be some kind'a appropriate sanctions taken against him. However, speaking solely in terms of his conduct on here, which is all I'm really qualified to pass comment upon, a six month ban is ludicrously harsh! He is an immature 15 year old lad, show me one who isn't/wasn't so, and I'll give you a bucket of rocking-horse **** for them. Undoubtedly he lacks a number of social graces and says things which get up people's noses - However, if those people can't accept some criticism of their *IMAGINARY* cricket teams, then I'm afraid that reflects more poorly on them, than on Rodgie.

What has been going on here is tantamount to bullying! And unless it stops now, then I for one will be having nothing more to do with the forum. He sees the game in black and white, and states his opinions as though they are the only truth, directly contradicting people who know far more about the game than himself. However, to be fair to him, rightly or wrongly, he most often ventures these opinions in an attempt to try and help other players. Conversely, there are those on here, and you know who you are, who take a great deal of malicious pleasure from winding him up and letting him go, just so you can then chuck brick bats at him with impunity. I too have to accept a degree of responsibility, as I've often joshed Rodgie, having previously likened him to my guide-dog and called him AD(HD). Whilst I'd like to think that this was taken in the spirit in which it was intended, I do think that, as one of the eldest and more senior people on here, (Not meaning to blow my own trumpet!), my joking remarks have been taken as a cue for open season on Rodgie.

As soon as I have a free moment, I'll be E-mailing James to express these thoughts, but I just thought I'd make it perfectly clear to you all where I stand. I don't tolerate bullying at home, in my cricket club or in my office, and whilst I have no real power to do anything about it on here, I won't be party to it here either!

Anyway, to happier matters. The Gurs sowed up the IV.11 title today with an eight wicket TIE win over Esra Snoobab.

Esra Snoobab 209/8. Gadd 73 (63), Tuckett 43 (43), Thornton 32 (40). Bewers 3/35, Cash 2/30, Carlton, (On Debut), 1/51, Wilde 1/55.

Cymru Gurgitaters 211/2 (35.4) Greening 101* (89), Staveley 73 (74), Cash 18* (11). Beamish 1/30 (10)

TIE ratings of Qual/Comp/Abs - Prof/Prof/Feeb. Finished level on forty-four points with Who's Your Daddy, but comfortably ahead on NRR. Only downside was that Greening finished the season with 999 league runs! No idea as yet who I'll have in either my playoff or my Twenty20 group, the fixtures aren't up yet.

Oh, and I've purchased my first Million Pound Player!

Steven Carlton (809049)
LH Batsman, LFM Bowler, superb batting form, superb bowling form, energetic
A cautious player with abysmal leadership skills and woeful experience.
Plays For: Cymru Gurgitaters
Nationality: England
Age: 22 Years Old
Battrick Rating: 11,780 (-26)
Wages: £2,415 p/w
*Stamina: feeble Wicket Keeping: worthless
Batting: abysmal Concentration: mediocre
Bowling: strong Consistency: competent
Fielding: woeful

At £1M on the nose, I wouldn't exactly say it was a bargain, but I guess that's the market rate. Besides, I desperately needed to replace Resp/Feeb Bent if I'm to have a chance in my playoff, let alone Div III! He's 22 now, so I'll give him a bowling net until he reaches Sup, which, judging by his wage, should be half to two thirds of the way through next season. By then his Cons should be Resp or Prof, depending on his sub-levels, and that'll be good enough for my B4/B5 for the next few seasons. Made no noticeable change to my Seam rating today, but I guess I've just moved from low Prof to high Prof, and may well hit Strong when I GFI next week.

Have a good Weekend, Trev

With the greatest of respect Trev - you only read this forum.

If you saw how many warnings he'd had and his previous bans etc - he's lucky that it's not permanent.

And Scaly, why do you even bother playing if all you're going to do is moan every time your team plays?

Anyway my Twenty20 group is a bit lame, two VI sides who are cannon fodder (crap gate receipt for the one I'm away to presumably) and a soon-to-be III side who's about the same strength as the side I just tied with. Ideally I'd have wanted some weakish V sides who've been around a bit and have generated some fans but aren't any threat, but as long as I get through.

Tricky looking play off coming up. The team were in my Div IV team when I got promoted easily, but have improved a lot since then. I'm not that bothered if I go down though, just build up cash until I can splash out on the gun bowler I need.

Twenty20 group's a doddle though, three IV sides I can take easily.

Just in case people didn't know what the bowling orders were (they're hidden in the rules)

Just signed up for battrick the other day, my first game is in progress as I'm typing this. Going pretty well I must say, three of my bowlers did pretty well, one did great, although two got smashed all over the place. Other team ended up scoring 277-6, so I was a bit worried because my batting looked to be my weakest link...but it's actually turned out to go really well. I put my two best batsmen as my openers and so far they're gunning it, the captain of the team hit a century off 79 balls and the other guy is currently on 87 at a run a ball. 198-0 at the end of the 28th over as I post this. Now just keeping fingers crossed for them to see it through to the end so my team won't collapse.

A TIE defeat for me in what I thought was an easy win, definitely hsould have been looking at the ratings. Ah well, last game of season, champions anyway.

Not every time, just when it seems a bit OTT.

I'm not a mod, but that doesn't stop me know what's going on.

As for the other person, I fully agree with you, and think it's pathetic - at least it hadn't happened for a while though...

I don't actually read every post I'm afraid so I've no idea what you're talking about. I thought all that crap had stopped.

If you're bothered enough to mention it, report it and then something will be done because I can almost guarantee that the mod team doesn't read every post.

sweeney somehow went for 83 runs today. absolute madness imo. we were set 298 to win and chased it down with 2 overs to spare. duggan hit 115, his 10th century this season, and 27th for his career, whilst fry made 96. good ratings again.

how long did you guys have to wait for your twenty20 groups to be drawn?

I have reported it and he's still a staff member and he's still not banned - anyone else coughs or sneezes more than once and they get a 7-dayer.
