hard not to rate jof when he bowls like this, but he really does feel to me like the bloke who bowls eye catching spells but rarely takes the big bag. very flintoff esque.

just cheeky 2 and 3-fers.

How many edges have not carried so far in this Test? Old Trafford used to be such a good cricket wicket with pace and carry, now it’s just dead.

Any chance of Sundar firing a ****ing shot here ffs? He’s looked horrendous all tour.

Maybe, but he's still finding his way back just now. Perhaps he'll take more when he's properly established, especially now that he's being more sensibly managed by his captain.

Incidentally, haven't all of his wickets in the series been left-handers?

England have had a lot of spells this series where they've gone past the outside edge a lot more than they've found it. I reckon they've not been full or straight enough during the best periods for bowling. Except for the second innings at Lord's when they did a much better job of bringing the stumps into play.

Really? I get it that Archer will sometimes do that, not the rest of them.

Mind you it did swing a fair bit.

I get that Woakes may be worried about being driven at his pace. But that's the risk you should be taking when the ball is moving around.
