Btw, I have more Pakistani friends then Indian friends and I know the pain.
Just knowing the them has helped me and them understand lot about each other and people across the border. It has become clear that it's the not way we are born or where we are born or what religion we take upon, but it's mostly the way we are raised.
It just sucks that we are raised in an environment where we end up hating each other. That's also the result of generalization. If one person or a group of people from one area does something awful then we just label that area and the people from that area in a lower category. That also leads to labeling things that those people are associated with (i.e. religion) into lower category as well. It's part of our instinct but something that we should try to control.

All this has lead to loss of so many lives and hasn't solved anything.
