Graeme Smith to retire from international cricket

The news caught me off guard. Very good player, but his usefullness to the SA side had dwindled off late. Not having someone of his experience in the SA side is going to be tough, but in the larger context of things its the right time for him to go and for SA to start fresh. Also, massive...

    ***Official*** 2014 Asia Cup

No Irfan is a major, MAJOR blow. His fitness was always questionable and this was always expected. I just hope this tournament is not a high scoring fest like last time around.

    Should Dhoni still captain India?

Just something that hit me during the NZ tour. He's been captain for almost 7 years now if you start with the first T20 world cup, and 7 years is a LOT. He is obviously an integral part of their side an will continue to be one for the next few years atleast. But is Dhoni the captain declining...

Right Armers ATG vs Left Armers ATG

Hayden does deserve a spot IMO.a greater batsman than Lawry atleast. You could throw the flat track bully argument against him,but he could completley murder bowling attacks when on song.

Right Armers ATG vs Left Armers ATG

Im pretty surprised no one has picked Hayden so far,and also that Gower and especially Border arent automatic picks for the left handers side.

Right Armers ATG vs Left Armers ATG

Just an idea that struck me.I dont think theres been a thread along these lines before so i thought ill make one. As the title suggests, you have to come up with one ATG of all right handers, and the other ATG team of all left handers, and then decide which one is stronger according to each...

India, Australia, England attempt to take control of Cricket

Eh..How has Cricket survived worse? Absolute power is never beneficial. There are simply no two ways about it.

India, Australia, England attempt to take control of Cricket

The premise is here the exclusivity of the most competetive test cricket being limited to 3 countries. But what if the countries getting the snub end up boycotting limited over competitions too?Like the WC for example? With all the attempts by England, India and Australia to seize most...

India, Australia, England attempt to take control of Cricket

Just wondering, could this result in a 'rebel' cricket commitee where boards who get the snub here refuse to play with India, Australia, England and organize a seperare platform where they play exclusivley among themselves? Because this move by the BCCI, ECB and ACB will have reprecussions.
