Worst thing to happen during an international cricket game?

Absolutely can't stand people who can't keep their religion in their pants. But there must have been some incidents worse than this I suspect.

I've been thinking of some of the most garbage things that have happened on the cricket field, like Sreesanth's celebrations(against Symonds), or Lillee acting like an absolute child, but nothing seems close to this.

The Moeen Ali incident in the ashes is pretty bad. Being called a terrorist was way beyond banter or usual sledging.

The Barbadian quick, Charlie Griffith, was sometimes accused of 'chucking' his bouncers. He and Wes Hall were a formidable pace duo but an incident ended Indian captain Nari Contractor's career. Fortunately the incident wasn't fatal.

"... he was on 2 not out while opening the batting with Dilip Sardesai during his side's first innings, when his attention was for a moment distracted as he faced Charlie Griffith in the fourth ball of the second over. He saw somebody open a window in the pavilion, and consequently was unable to concentrate on the ball following its delivery by Griffith, seeing the ball "just inches away before it hit" him. Contractor took a blow at the back of his skull fracturing it. A blood clot had developed inside his skull and pressing against the brain paralyzing him from the waist down. Two surgeries were performed to remove the clot. Requiring blood transfusion for the purpose, the West Indies captain Frank Worrell donated blood, alongside Contractor's teammates Chandu Borde, Bapu Nadkarni and Polly Umrigar. Contractor's life was saved but his international career was abruptly ended as a result."

This is horrific. Getting hit by a pace bowler with illegal action and getting a severe head injury.

Just came across this video, didn't hear about it before. And this is wrong on so many levels:wacko: For me, this is the absolute worst, worse than anything that has happened before or will happen in future.

What do you think is the most disgraceful thing to have happened during an international game according to you guys?
Shezad was a prick, and so was Dilshan. But he had bit more class not to respond to it. If he had responded then things would have been very different.

We seem to be fluctuating between religion, terrorism and cricket incidents so:
England fast bowler Peter Lever bowled a bouncer at New Zealand tailender Ewan Chatfield in 1975. He'd hung around a bit but the match was won and it wasn't necessary. At one point they thought he was dead and without the speedy response of the physio he would have died. No helmets in those days.
