**Official** Bangladesh in the West Indies

This Bangladesh team is joke. They can't even take on pacers that are ranked 8th in the world rankings. Can you imagine what would happen if they were facing the Australians or South African pacers? they should be removed from test status completely until they get their infrastructure right.

They are good at home.

They've won one test match at home in their entire history.

They might get thrashed less at home, but they are a long way from good.

Taylor and Roach are a better opening combination than plenty of other Test attacks and you'd expect the Windies to probably beat Pakistan, Sri Lanka and have a crack at England and India at home.

But yeah there's been no improvement from Bangladesh.

So what does Gabriel have to do to step up to the next level? he's hitting speeds of 150 and can maintain that in a spell...so is it just a matter of him starting to move the ball slightly either way to get the rewards? His run-up seems to have improve which i guess Amby has had him working on...now it's a matter of getting him to move the ball now which he can do as i've seen it with my own eyes...he just needs the confidence to keep working on it.

Anyway what can i say about Roach? he's just getting better and better and like i've said before he's clearly a world class performer. No doubt the major tests will come in India and SA later this year but right now he can do no wrong. I just can't wait to finally see Narine backing him up...it's crazy how they've only played two tests together (smh) and both of those were won against NZ.

In material terms using the strict accounting definition of the word material there has been no improvement away from home.

But if we split hairs about it they have Shakib and Rahim both of whom are test standard players now. Five or Six years ago they had nobody.

The funny thing is Hendrix Taylor and Roach as a pair haven't even played with Narine yet :D ..

Clearly we have an attack then could potentially be right up there..especially the way Roach is heading (top four pacer at the moment imo). It's just a matter of sorting the batting unit longterm...looks like Kirk Edwards is coming to the end...hope Blackwood can get a score if we bat again.

Six months ago Gabriel was a no hoper who should've been behind 57 more talented bowlers the West Indies had waiting in the wings. Now though, sounds like he's the next big thing.

Gabriel really isn't. Jason Holder is the next big thing imo. And he can hold a bat too.

Not the next best thing by any means...and we do have Beaton, Cummins, Cotterrell, Delorn Johnson, Ray Jordan etc waiting in the wings...but as Mitchell Johnson has shown over the last year..when you have pace and control you can be major force. Gabriel has the pace and now he just needs to work on the other areas...lately he's been averaging two wickets per innings which isn't all that bad.
