But it wasn't it was 11 off 7, even with the tailenders it was still 50/50.
Wouldn't say it was 50/50 tbh with just 2 wickets left and Broad injured and uncertain.

England could have well won it and such matches have been won from such a situation, but India were favorites when they called it off.

if jadeja had not taken that catch we'd have lost.

if dhoni was out for a duck we would have lost.

if we were all out for 0 we'd not win it....

England were robbed in my opinion, but had play continued in those conditions they'd have probably lost.

Make sense of that! Some really poor and weak umpiring!

Play should have been suspended just before Swann's dismissal. At that point, it was not fit for cricket. Had normal conditions been available and no threat of rain, England would have coasted to victory. But with the D/L threat, slippery surface and horrendous light, England were right up against it in unfit conditions for cricket.

Not to mention the fact we saw an incredibly worrying sight just before they went off the 1st time. MS Dhoni just stood there almost refusing to let his bowler deliver a ball, pretending to adjust the field, until the Umpires took the players off. It was a Mexican stand-off and the Umpires caved in.

That was unsporting from Dhoni, I'd call it straight up cheating. If you are that sad and desperate to win a sport, then take up darts!

Bopara took us to a tie (not quite single-handedly), but ultimately cost us a win with his brainless antics late on. Credit to Bell, Brez and Swanny too!

P.S. Drop Stokes, he's not ready!

It really pains you to give credit to Bopara, doesn't it?
Face it - without Bopara in today's team, England would've got a thrashing....

Well played, Ravi. Though some Englishmen don't want you in their side, you saved the team from defeat....

Don't think Bopara's tactics were wrong. Swann was striking well and he was giving him the strike. When Swann went he tried to go for the big hit himself.
Agreed....

And the tie still gives England the series win. Bopara has now scored 160 runs at an average of 53 in this series to date, making him England's leading runscorer in the series, in terms of both aggregate and average.

But Ravi did lead us to a tie.

However, he ran out Swann (his call) and then smacked one to deep mid-wicket in consecutive balls. If either of those had just been dots, England would have won.

whats happened to Dhoni's leadership I know mostly the captain is as good as the team but he had clearly lost all imagination which he had earlier on still remember that awesome 8-1 offside chokejob on Aus back in 2008.

**** can we stop with the partisan posting at least in the ODIs? Its ****ing **** opening up match threads with the usual suspects going at each other every single match.

Would they? if Ravi wasn't in the team today, someone else would have been in his place, what's to say that player wouldn't have taken us to a win, just saying.
