Is that because Stephen Flemming is 3rd highest on the list for averages?FWIW, I'd agree with the stats that apart from Australia, SL and SA are the hardest places to bat in, for contrasting reasons.
Indeed.Interesting to see the junior Waugh faring so well in that.
Hmm, not sure about some of those nations. I wouldn't be rating runs in SL or India that much differently to England or NZ in that time. Really, outside of Aus and NZ, between 1995 and 2004, you could throw a blanket over the rest of them.Indeed.

Sachin is the only player to feature at the top in all 3 lists I think.

The interesting thing about Tugga's stats here is that he played almost an identical amount of innings as Tendulkar, but made more runs and went not out more often. It seems to me that this demonstrates that having more not outs does not necessarily equate to less runs (some people say that Waugh intentionally was not out to boost his average).
Are you saying these teams were better tourists (i.e. teams that performed better overseas) or harder places to win if you were a tourist?Hmmm.... Assuming england, australia, india and south africa were the better tourists, which I think is a fair assumption during this period,

Haha, true.Where is the SJS Stats Factory when you need it?

The former. These 4 nations have been touring better than other countries. So it's fair to say the hosts who have the best record against these 4 are the toughest places to tour.
Not sure whether those four nations are a fair assumption for that period, TBH.Sir Alex said:Assuming england, australia, india and south africa were the better tourists, which I think is a fair assumption during this period,
Lol thats awesome. I would have thought his average of 20 odd in Australia would hurt him a lot, even adding in his big double tons in SA and SL.Is that because Stephen Flemming is 3rd highest on the list for averages?

Ha fair enough. Not sure whether those four nations are a fair assumption for that period, TBH.
Wins and losses overseas between Top 8 nations in the period that you specified.
Well... when you just look at against SAHa fair enough.
Still doesn't change the top 4 nations which were most difficult to score against at home.

Zimbabwe ahead of new zealand england etc. Interesting.
New zealand's lowly average at home is a shocker for me. Always had the illusion they were awesome at home.
