The thing is, I've no objection to people coming on here and not knowing the difference between finger and wrist spin, the lbw law, and Bradman's batting average (it wasn't bad for a swing bowler!). But when you are aggressively making your point, jeez you have to back it up!

Well, Bradders was a Sobers-esque bowler (without any of the batting talent, Bradman was crap with the bat, like Chris Martin) capable of bowling 95mph left arm swing and 95mph wrist or finger spin (not sure which, no difference is there? =/)

well, anyone with 2000 runs/ 100 wickets can be judged in my opinion. partly because you should have played around 25-30 tests to get there and that is long enough to make a mark in international cricket and partly because most of the early greats didnt get to play more than that. so that makes it a reasonable cut-off point to compare players across different eras. already we all have an idea of what pietersen is all about. so it is ok to have him in the list. what is not ok is not having m.crowe, hayden and de silva.

There's only been a small handful of Pakistani batsmen who are especially good against spin (Salim Malik, Younis Khan, Inzamam, Javed, etc.). Plenty of Pakistanis are very weak against spin, even some of those who were excellent against seam .
