Fleming Out, Astle In

Stephen Fleming is out of the first ODI against Sri Lanka following the birth of his first child. Nathan Astle has been called in as his replacement.

Lindsay Crocker, the Black Caps Manager said Daniel Vettori would captain the team while Astle would join the squad after playing for Canterbury against Wellington in the State Shield tomorrow.

Crocker confirmed that Fleming would take part later in the series.
