Extra Ashes tickets on sale

Cricket Australia has announced the sale of more tickets for the 2006-07 Ashes series, following the huge demand for the original groups of tickets on June 1.

The priority access granted to the Australian Cricket Family group has now expired, and as such, the general public will now be able to purchase the extra tickets. There will also be many tickets available for the one-day internationals between England and Australia.

Roughyl 1700 tickets will be made available for the first four days of the WACA Test, with 2000 available on each day at the Gabba, 1800 at Adelaide, and 3500 at Sydney. 2000 will be available for Boxing Day at the MCG, with larger numbers available on the second to fourth days.

The sale of these tickets will be staggered, to avoid the phone and internet jamming that occurred when the original tickets went on sale. This will begin on Monday, with Adelaide, Sydney, Perth and Hobart’s tickets, and continue with Brisbane on Tuesday and Melbourne on Wednesday. Tickets can be booked by phone, online or by applying in person, and they are limited to four seats per person.
