Dalmiya resigns as head of CAB

Jagmohan Dalmiya has resigned from his position as President of the Cricket Association of Bengal.

The former head of the ICC was removed from the BCCI earlier this month for alleged misappropriation of funds and was later banned from the organisation for life.

Dalmiya explained his resignation in a letter to the CAB claiming he was a victim of “a pre-determined and vindictive attitude of the current regime of the BCCI”.

“I am sure my stand would be fully vindicated through the process of law in which I have full confidence,” he wrote.

“I am confident that I will fully regain the opportunity to continue to serve the game of cricket with full honour.”
