Brain Surgery for Lynette Waugh

Former Australian cricket captain Steve Waugh’s wife suffered a cerebral haemorrhage and underwent emergency brain surgery on Friday.

In a statement released by Steve Waugh and Dr Charles Teo, they said “the haemorrhage was very serious and the blood clot was removed”, and that “her progress since the operation had been encouraging”.

The statement went on to say that the Waugh family appreciated all the public support they have received.

Lynette is currently undergoing further investigation to find the cause of the haemorrhage.

Steve and Lynette Waugh have been married for 15 years and have three children together.
