Brad Hodge out, Shaun Marsh in

Brad Hodge has been ruled out of the rest of the Top End Series in Northern Australia after suffering a neck injury while batting in Australia A’s recent game against Pakistan A.

The team physiotherapist Alex Kontouris said it would be best for Hodge to return to Melbourne as a precautionary measure with the heavy international summer approaching.

Shaun Marsh comes into the squad after a superb Pura Cup season last year where he hit five half-centuries and averaged close to 50. Shaun Marsh is the son of former Australian opener Geoff Marsh.

Australia A’s next match is a four-day game against India A starting on 18th July.
