Astle set to hang up his boots

Nathan Astle is expected to drop a bombshell on New Zealand Cricket with an announcement that he will retire from international cricket.

Black Caps management have scheduled a press conference for this afternoon in Perth where it is expected that Astle will bring his 12-year career to an end.

Astle has scored the most ever one-day centuries for New Zealand (16), and averages 35.09 with the bat and 38.47 with the bowl from 222 one-day internationals.
