Andy Blignaut Makes U Turn

Andy Blignaut has had a changed of heart and will return to the International fold with Zimbabwe after 10 months out in the wilderness.

Andy Blignaut is the first of the big names to return from the 14 who resigned in protest captain Heath Streak’s sacking last April, with the potential for others to follow at the conclusion of the current talks to resolve the long running debate.

Blignaut could be rushed back in action later this week for Zimbabwe A against Bangladesh, playing as a batsman until he regains bowling fitness, but he is unlikely to join up with the full squad in South Africa unless his injury clears up.

During the 10 month absent from the Zimbabwe national side Blignaut signed for the Australian State side of Tasmania, but the move proved unsuccessful due to ongoing injuries and only featured in one first-class match.
