Anderson makes low-key return

England fast bowler James Anderson is making his come-back from a serious back injury in playing for his local side Burnley this weekend.

Anderson will however only be batting and fielding for Burnley, the coach of Lancashire, Mike Watkinson said.

Anderson has been out of all cricket since April after being diagnosed with a stress fracture to the back, which was suffered after England’s tour of India in March where he played all seven one-day internationals.

He was named in the 30 man provisional England squad for the ICC Champions Trophy in October.
