Nah, none of the games against the top 8 are MUST win. Of course, it would be nice to settle a couple of nerves and make a good impression...

Only thing is that would make our tail too long IMO, although I am a big fan of satchi, I reckon tharanga will come in stead of chandimal to bat at 7. We will need all the batting we can get against England's bowlers..

Nah needs Senanayake bad, and to open the bowling with Malinga. Getting Moeen is essential as he is the best player of spin out there. Then comes the customary middle order choke from the spinners.

Well whatever the case the team needs 4 actual bowlers plus Perera/Matthews and Dilshan, which means Thisara bats seven, him batting 8 is ridiculous given how often his bowling is just cannon fodder, particularly given Herath was the only truly reliable bowler we had the other night. Chandimal has done nothing to deserve his spot so he goes, if Karunaratne starts failing then Tharanga can come in to replace him, done

We are more desperately in need of enough bowling options against them really, a top 6 of Thiri, Dilshan, Sanga Dimuth, Mahela and Matthews should be able to score the bulk of the runs against them

I can see what you're saying but i reckon we need the extra batsman simply because Thisara's batting is so hit and miss..I reckon we will find the bounce of Finn a problem....
1. Thiirimanne 2. Dilshan 3. Sanga 4. Dimuth 5. Mahela 6. Mathews 7.Tharanga/Chandimal 8. Thisara 9.Herath 10.Lakmal.11Malinga - If tharanga picked, he could be a back up spinner couldnt he, in case things go wrong but i think Dilshan and Herath will be fine, just need Mathews to bowl his 10..

Yea I hope they don't go with that ridiculous 7 specialist batsmen setup again. Senanayake probably the best option, I hope Angelo bowls out and bowls with the new ball as well.

Getting the crowds to the Cake Tin for anything other than a big All Blacks test or an NZ world cup ODI is a hard sell. I hope they get a decent number in.

Hope so, we need to to ease the pressure going into the last couple of games. Just hope it half as exciting as the NZ v Aus game as it will be a good game then at least.

Will England get over 130 at the fourth attempt at the Cake Tin? That is the big question.

Given how bad we are I'd take a win here and defeat in QF as a reasonable tournament.
