Which Was the Worst Possible Umpiring Decision That You Have Seen

I've got to admit, Rob posted a video of I think it was Peter May's ton from 58/59 and when I watched it, straight way I thought that the left arm seamer looked like he chucked it, then went to find out who he was. Personally I'd never heard of Meckiff before and the controversy his action had at the time but it definitely looked dodgy.

Bloody hell. Tony Lock's is bad, but Burke's and Rourke's defy belief.

Meckiff's isn't flash, but he looks like Shaun Pollock' by comparison.
Yes, Lock remodeled his action once he saw film of himself bowling and said at the time "Had I known I was throwing I wouldn't have bowled that way,".

I remember Southee Hattrick Ball against Pakistan in T20, it was inside edge infact more than inside edge & was very high too.

I can't find any footage on youtube, but the one I remember was especially bad because it was made by the 3rd umpire. It involved Michael Slater, in the 2nd innings of the final Ashes test of 1998/99, being clearly run out when he'd made hardly any. The 3rd umpire somehow decreed otherwise and Slater went on to make a large enough score to take the game beyond England. If the 3rd ump had done his job properly, we'd have had a shout at squaring the series.
Yeah I've uploaded series highlights, you can find it there, at 55:00.....

Damn. Could have swarn it was McCullum. I thought it was that combination because i'm sure it was a sla bowling around the wicket to a right hander. I'll try and think harder. Either way, i lol'd when i saw it live.

Edit: It was actually Lou Vincent in this match
Just woke up, 6:13am and I'm a bit tired after dealing with sick kids all night, but give me 15 minutes and i'll upload the dismissal!

Remember Flintoff being given out caught behind in NZ when he was about 6 inches away from the ball. Think it might have been in the 3rd test of the series he got his first ton. Doug Cowie was the umpire I think

Don't think I've seen many worse than that Flintoff one. But I remember Fidel Edwards was batting against England in 2009. He missed the ball but was given out. He reviewed it and it was obvious he hadn't hit it (you could see daylight). But for some reason the original decision was upheld. You could see why it could be given out in real time (it was sort of down the leg side) but the fact that the 3rd umpire couldn't see that the ball missed the bat made it an absolute howler. Of course nobody cares when tailenders get howler though.

This was before they were allowed to use Hotspot though and the review system was very much a new thing. Hopefully things like that will never happen again.

Wasn't that Darren Powell? Maybe we are thinking of different ones. Plus that was Harper's fault anyway, rather than DRS fail, the man just didn't know what he was doing some days.

Probably was Powell, I can't remember. And I'm fully with you on it being Harper fault nothing wrong with the DRS. I remember Harper's had a few dodgy moments with the DRS. Remember the Smith incident in Johannesburg in early 2010 where he "forgot to turn the sound on".

The way u names that video and the way you are posting, it looks you hate pakistan alot, otherwise this was simply an umpiring mistake, a mistake which initiallyy your aussie comentators didn't pick........
Yes but if you look at all the other bad umpiring videos he uploads, he gives the nationality of the umpire every time. Including Aussies.

Kidding yeah? Most of the Aussie commentators are blind idiots. Hardly a secret. we are not proud of our bafoon commentators.

But name could have been, Poor umpiring decision. He specially mentioned Pakistan. That's harsh when i know how many poor decision many umpires have given. Indian umpire making mistake doesn't mean Poor India umpiring decision.
