Daniel Vettori- I met him when the NZ was here in BD and I honestly think he's the sweetest guy on the planet.I freaked out when I saw him and I thought I was going to have a breakdown because it was somewhere I never expected to see him!He was very amused with my reaction and he couldn't stop smiling and there was this other guy with him, probably his bodyguard, who didn't know what to do!:D

Andrew Flintoff-he was really nice and down-to-earth and was more than happy to sign an autograph.

James Anderson-sweet but shy!

Nasser- when I was ten me and a friend of mine went up to him at Chelmsford, but he didn't say anything and walked off. It was just after he'd scored his double century against the aussies though.
Chelmsford, woooo! [sorry] I met Chris Gayle at a Worcestershire game and a friend asked for his autograph, he told him to eff off.

in those exact words? excuse me for being cynical but gayle has always struck me as being one of the most laid back relaxed and friendly players out there.

Well he was really tired after just having played a game, and my naive friend went and asked him for an autograph, and he told him to **** off, it was barely audible but you could tell that he said it.

You sure that's what he said? Those Jamaicans barely speak English sometimes.

I once had a slash standing next to Bob Willis in the lavs @ The Oval. Given what we were both holding in our hands I thought it best not to speak tho! :p

Are we able to ban archie mac for using a Bros song title?
I was wondering who would pick that up

The girl I was going out with at the time loved that band, I must have heard that song a 1000 times, and hated it more each time.:@

Trust a Kiwi to notice

If their accent is owt like yours, I can completely back that up.
Trinidadians don't really have an accent. It's just flat. That's why we pick up other people's accents so easily. It's difficult for people not familiar to understand at first. Over time it becomes quite easy though.

It's a bit like a Norwegian-speaking-English accent. At least, from the Norwegians I've talked to.

Steve Waugh - polite but disinterested (fair enough)
Michael Clarke - very friendly and actually asked questions himself
Binger - very friendly and accomodating
McGrath - same again - my kids played with his kids all week on holidays - his wife even friendlier
Pollock - appeared arrogant - may have caught him at a bad moment
Bevan - strange
Mo Matthews - p1sshead but always good for an hour or 2 chat as long as you keep buying his drinks and share a cab home.
Travis Friend - top bloke
Aminul Islam - couldn't meet a nicer bloke - always greets me politely and shows genuine interest
just remembered another one - Nathan Astle - good bloke

Had a good net session bowling to him. Beat the bat twice then he went on a horror run playing for the Kiwi's.

I take credit for that

oh yeah...and another 2.

MacGill - very nice chat at a function except he bagged my cricket club for being rockstars

Vettori - my wife grew up in the same street as him in Sydney. Said he was a nice kid. Couldn't bowl though

Is Vettori a quasi-Aussie then? I thought he was a bona fide Kiwi.

He was at St Paul's in Hamilton from his early teens and was born in Auckland. When did he supposedly live in Australia?

I played against him in soccer a few times when I was a teenager and I thought he was a bit of a *****. A mate of mine was in some teams with him and he didn't think much of him either.

Of course we were all teenagers at the time... so I wouldn't assume he's anything like that now.
