Indian pacers from 2015:
Shami - 28 wickets in 10 matches @ 28.9
Sharma - 22 wickets in 11 matches @ 31.7
Bhuvi - 13 wickets in 4 matches @ 23.7
Aaron - 5 wickets in 4 matches @ 41.2
Yadav - 21 wickets in 12 matches @ 47.6
More than anything though, Shami has been really critical for India in keeping it tight most of the time when conditions are not in favour and bowling crucial spells to break long partnerships in the tail. He has matured so much as a bowler and you can't dock him any points for not bowling to the best of his abilities.
Yadav on the other hand, despite being slightly more talented, bowls without a plan most of the time, has regressed as a bowler and right now is deadweight in the side. He doesn't adapt at all to the match situation. I know the cupboards are not bountiful but I'm sure we can find someone who doesn't average 45-50 nearly every series and leaks runs at the worst times.
I think it's time we take our shovel and start digging hard for a not terrible pacer. It's been too long since we have.
