Umesh Yadav - Time to go?

when a quick is described as bowling well without luck over an entire series, he is usually doing something wrong.

i.e bowling a fraction too short or wide.

He had like 6-7 catches dropped off him. He was genuinely unlucky, not ishant unlucky.
No he's crap, he really is - no way he'll bowl well in England so you don't want him cluttering up the selector's minds and bringing him here next year - you've got loads of seamers much more suited to English conditions, honest

Umesh and Shami (if they are fit) along with B Kumar can form a pretty potent seam attack for India's overseas tours starting with South Africa this year. South Africa's batting is brittle and if Indian batting powerhouse can handle Rabada, Steyn, Morkel, Philander (and they do play pace better than spin) and if these fast bowlers remain oblivious to the fact that they are Indian fast bowlers, well you never know..India might win their first series in South Africa

Srinath hit 150 clicks occasionally in his prime and 148 frequently, though his average speed was around 145. He could also bowl short spells where he stayed close to an average speed of 150 when he was fired up. But the thing is, he was playing with bowlers like Donald, Waqar etc in the picture when he started out, who were considered to be THE quick bowlers during that time and by the time his career winded down, Lee, Bond, Akhtar were all in the picture as quick bowlers. He was fast for his time but there were so many better bowlers around the world that his speed didn't really make anyone sit up and take notice.
