Makes sense with who he has drafted already. Marshall batted at 8 and was a decent batsman. You are picking a keeper who bats worse than Marshall?

honestly, i was going to pick him and keep flower and de villiers as pure batters in my team. oh, well.... may be your selection has saved me from doing something very stupid....In that case I'll go Alan Knott
I too was confused between Knott and Ames but picking Ames gives me an option to pick yet another bowler so went with Ames ahead of Knott.honestly, i was going to pick him and keep flower and de villiers as pure batters in my team. oh, well.... may be your selection has saved me from doing something very stupid....
ames was a very good batsman.I too was confused between Knott and Ames but picking Ames gives me an option to pick yet another bowler so went with Ames ahead of Knott.
Ames never really impressed that much in test cricket with the bat, but his first class record is solid.I too was confused between Knott and Ames but picking Ames gives me an option to pick yet another bowler so went with Ames ahead of Knott.
8 tons in 47 games is pretty good for a keeper.Ames never really impressed that much in test cricket with the bat, but his first class record is solid.
He was a good number 7, but don't quite think he is good enough for number 6. Against Australia he averaged 27 with one hundred and cashed in vs the minnows of the day, though he deserves credit for performing better than Hammond did vs Constantine and Martindale.8 tons in 47 games is pretty good for a keeper.
Was hoping for Knott to drop but because of how my team was structured, it wasn't a priority. In that case I'll pick Alan Knott

Errrrm, he scored most of his runs @ No.5 and No.6 so hows does it make him a better No.7?He was a good number 7, but don't quite think he is good enough for number 6. He was a very good keeper though.
