Yeah Lara was a class of his own against spin but I wouldnt fancy him against express pace early at the crease.

Sobers averaged 65 for the length of Viv career. With a better NZ performance.. It would have been close to 70. ?

Sachin played all those, Kumble aside, plus another generation of Swann, Herath, Lyon.

Edit: Also played Qadir. WAG.

Didn't play Kumble though. Lara played all of them. And Sachin is not even the best player of spin in his side.

Sidhu and Azhar as well.

Sidhu and Shewag were so good they did not need a defensive game.

I’ve heard Azhar was really good against spin however. Pretty solid batsmen in general tbh with impressive numbers, definitely not just meh. Too bad about the fixing though…
