Agree...Berdych is a tough opponent on grass and Cilic when in form can blow you away with his power game...

I didnt know that Johanna Konta was born, bred and learned how to play tennis in Australia

All makes sense now

Fed just hit the GOAT button at 3-0 down in that tie-break, really can't see him not winning this, but thought that at the USopen when Cilic spoiled the party, could history repeat?

.
This is exactly what I'm thinking. Raonic was never really going to be a threat imho, but Federer's struggled with Cilic and Berdych on the odd occasion before. Obviously with the other big 4 members gone, it's opened up for him but it's not going to be a cakewalk at all.

Was a bit disappointed with Raonic's performance apart from a few flickers in the 3rd set, felt he might also have been carrying some sort of injury.
He looked so bad every time he went to the net. In this era you don't really have to be an exceptional net player, but he's plain poor.

Ryb was a shambles, but to be expected her ilk normally bottle it in the semi final stage. We won't be seeing anything more from her again, 2 week wonder and nothing more.

Props to Mugu though she played really well.

Lets hope the second semi final is more acceptable than that.

Harsh. Yes she went to pieces by the end, but when someone is playing that well, hitting every shot deep and missing basically nothing, it's tough.

This next match should be closer.

Seen it to often, these fairy tale stories pretty much implode if they get as far as the semis. Lucic the most recent example in the Australian Open wasted everyone's time in that semi final.

Credit to her though for getting this far, although obviously Coco and Pliskova should be fuming if they were watching this semi final.

Not Mugu's fault whatsoever she was good, although was much more impressed with her against Kuz and Kerber as those girls actually showed some backbone in their losses.

She will be favourite to win the final now and rightfully so.

She's a funny one, says she doesn't like grass, but has reached 2 Wimbledon Finals. Think she moves quite well on it though, and she can use her height at the net, think she actually has the basics to be a multiple Wimbledon winner, Happy for her after the appalling behaviour of the Roland garros crowd and her emotional pressure then her iconic dig at Kiki.

Hingis and Sania need to bury their differences and get back together. Well, more important for Sania than for Hingis but still

Konta cracked at 4-4 in the first set and her forehand let her down hugely today. Venus however was superb, another tough opponent on paper she beat with relative ease. Props. :)

Cilic managing to break Querrey in the second set to go 4-3 up ..feels like it may be quite a long match ..

Cilic goes two sets to one up.

Both these guys have such a meat-and-potatoes game.

Yeah so cringe to hear the commentators gush about the quality of the tennis when it's so obviously the lowest standard in a Wimbledon semi-final in decades. You could serve John Inverdale a turd on a plate and he'd call it a masterpiece.
