So that's a wide, a 2 and a 4 that the umpires have now deadballed off Finn. 7 (2) in any language is great and this is pathetic from the umpires. They need to get a grip

It really does defeat the whole purpose when you call dead ball after he smacks it for four. They're calling dead ball because they think it distracts the batsmen. But it clearly didn't distract him that much, he smacked it for four FFS.

Rubbish effort from Taylor, he's just too one dimensional to be effective in this format.
Yep 100 percent agree. You keep hearing people harp on about how he will improve on that record and match his domestic one but it's a whole different ball game slogging medium pacers in the IPL and doing the same against proper 140+ quicks.

Edit: WTF, how many runs has that cost NZ now, seven by my count.

They're hamstrung by the rule but it's a pissant rule. If they want to eradicate it, make it a no ball.

When it comes to death hitting, he only knows one thing: slog it over square leg. Teams know that's all he can do and bowl accordingly. That's why his t20i record is so rubbish.
yes it is his go-to shot but he can cut and hit straight too. Of course he can't hit 6s as easily off quality pacers but not many can

Hit out ffs NcCullum. Otherwise might as well have sent Southee or Bracewell in.

At least it's pleasing to see another side realising that yorker is always the best option. Although in Dernbach's defence, if he bowls those he's less likely to get wickets and make himself look attractive to overseas cash cowing
