They were but you can't read too much into it as this Sri Lanka side is awful. NZ series would be a better indication of things and I still think the seam attack needs strengthening, and if they can't find the right combination there to go with two spinners instead. India won the Champions Trophy in England with two genuine spinners in 2013, and South Africa do have some good spin options.

Fantastic 100 by Faf :clapping:... considering the season he had 2015/16 compared to this season he has been brilliant. Think the captaincy has helped him.


And Miller has been fantastic recently, can see how much him rotating strike has improved his game.

This really has turned into a dead series for everybody... feels like SL have been here longer then England have been in India atm. And still 3 more games to go....

Yea this is turning out to be such a lifeless series.

Highlight of yesterdays game has to be that Faf catch to dismiss Dickwella. Awesome catch.

Although that will be a group game and not a knockout or must-win (since it's the first one for both teams), so South Africa probably won't have engaged choking mode at that point.

It's in Malema's hood, so probably.

If not perhaps we can rope Malema in. He strikes me as the type of fellow he could hit a quick 30 and maybe prise out a couple of wickets with some crafty medium pace. That's of course, if he hasn't expropriated your cricket field. And that's also if he would even deign to play a sport reeking of privilege and whiteness as much as cricket.
