***Official*** New Zealand Domestic Season 2016/17

It depends, if it was ruptured he'd be out for 6-8 months (probably more) a tear can be something small to something big. Bracewell's is obviously on the small scale.

Neesham hitting some seriously decent form. Wouldn't be surprised at all if the #5 spot is now his in all formats.

Neesham looks awfully village as a batsman at times, but you can't deny the results. A 50 in a match where we were smashed in India, and probably our best batsmen in Australia. Would definitely prefer him to Nicholls, and he gives the test side a lot more balance (if he can stay fit).

Some very good highlights there of Chapman's innings - first time I've seen him play an innings worthy of how highly some people rate him.
His 157 in an innings where hardly anyone else could get going wasn't a bad one. He is a very canny cricketer, and there's a lot to be said for those.
Is there anything Chapman can't do?
Yes. Play for New Zealand.

Please keep your hands off him.

Thanks.

Sad I missed the game today - looks like a pretty exciting one. Ronchi found a bit of form.

That last over was a microcosm of Jeetan Patel's career, eh?

Defending only 5 runs, to the unheard of domestic batsman, wicket first ball. Against the international class batsman, chucks one far down the leg side conceding 5 wides and basically losing the game. Nice work, Jeets.

We could have done with some of this guy Nuttall's yorkers in Australia. Hard to tell what sort of pace he bowls, but looks like he can land a ball and vary his pace, as well as being able to react quite late to movement from the batsmen. Guessing he's 130ish.

So we have 2 weeks of naf all cricket, then Canterbury and Wellington play each other back to back home and away?? WTF is up with that? Luckily it's only an hour flight, but still, 1 day in between seems like the minimum.

So good seeing Wheeler look to go in the hole in that last over, work the right angles and have them hit to the places he wanted them to. Brings a tear to my eye.

Interesting that Neesham batted at 6, don't you want your in-form only current NZ rep involved in the game more than that chasing 8s?

Super Smash heating up. Run production from Nicholls. Stags top of the Table. How will the Aces go back to back this weekend? And who will make the NZ T20 Squad ? Any bolters or the same old ?

I have no idea why this game in Hamilton is classed as a home game for Auckland.

Kuggeleijn's bowling looks quite sharp, be interested in the speeds. Gets a good grunt on impact too.

Good to see a semi-decent crowd at this game after such dismal showings at New Plymouth and Napier.
