Depends what you mean by "record". He has an awesome ODI average and economy rate, yes. He only bowls just over four overs per match though and he hasn't really played against serious opposition yet. He's basically been used as a specialist fielder whenever he's played and the little I've seen of his batting and bowling tends to reflect why.

Yeah it was tongue in cheek, he's hardly bowled. I just meant that, when he has bowled, he's done so with a good average and economy.

Trott needs to make a conscious effort to be more aggressive, may as well get out in this situation if he's not going to push the rate right up, its only a 42 over affair.

The fact that he's effective is precisely why cricket weeps. He just bowls genuine darts that don't turn every single ball for respectable figures time and time again. Doesn't really seem to bowl with that much of a plan either; he just exploits the short-comings of this format of the game. That said, my Sky connection went down just as he came on so I haven't seen him today, and if cricinfo is to be believed he's flighted and turned a couple. Quite encouraging if so.
