Below par score one feels. But Indian bowlers will want revenge for the last test.
India’s batting is awful, so it maybe makes sense to go with one less bowler for a batsman instead but doesn’t look like the team consider this as an option. Is it because they feel their bowling is their best bet to win and it’s not worth the trade off? Do they feel they need a spin back up like Ashwin in case one of the fast bowlers go down? Would they have a different tactic if they had a batsman who could bowl a bit of spin (ala Tendulkar/Sehwag)?

I think 5 bowlers are more or less a must these days with the number of quicks breaking down. 5th bowler can be a batting all rounder but we don't have one.

I don't know if we have a batsman in the wings that can be a difference-maker in foreign conditions. Besides, all our successes abroad have come with the five bowlers theory. It works but it also means you have to endure a fair amount of frustration before the payoff.
