wut. I don't think we'll have too much trouble scoring at less than a run a ball from one end if he gets out.

I love how the commentators are now complimenting Guptill for being the only batsmen to prosper whilst failing to realise it was his sluggish start that put pressure on everyone else.

What is with this "Guptill needs to bat out the innings", "Guptill can't afford to get out now" line? Guptill is the only guy with his ****ing eye in, he needs to go for it.

So is this pitch as difficult to score on as we're making out here? Only listening on the radio but it seems only McCullum found it possible to accelerate and score quickly.

Is this going to help our bowlers or are England just going to blitz this?

It's a typical cake tin pitch. Not the easiest to bat on, but NZ are 20 short, imo.
