At least they could pick a proper opener in place of Karun Nair. There's a reason why Matt Prior never opened the innings and Bairstow doesn't.
I know that, just presumed the injury was too late to get someone in but if it was yesterday then it is a bit of a brainfart.

Does Bairstow ever fail these days? Seems to at least get a start every time.

Scraping it out with de Kock for the best WK/bat in Tests atm.

The most sensible thing they're doing here is making runs faster than they have been..

But seriously, whatever happened to Stokes in between being an inconsistent but promising talent to being this goliath of the game, we need to bottle and hand to other youth cricketers with potential. He's been amazing and potentially will only continue getting better.

It's time to talk about dropping Jadeja. Get Bhuvi in and reap the benefits of more wickets, more runs, and less appeals.

A few are turning here but you need to hit that spot near middle and off. Would be better if its outside off.

This is a day one pitch which isn't turning, hardly fair to expect him to take a bunch of wickets. Jadeja is keeping it tight which gives India a bit of control as otherwise on this pitch so far you can really start leeking runs easily.

Not about today. Been underperforming the whole series.

He's bowled the second most number of overs with the lowest eco rate, his job is to tie up an end for long periods and when the pitch starts playing tricks his bowling becomes that much more threatening. The wickets in this series have been relatively more batter friendly than in series prior.

Why is there talk of dropping Jadeja after 2 uneventful games when we have Sinus still in the side.
