If they are 9 down I will still be totally fine with the declaration
If India are 8 or 9 down at the conclusion of this match, that doesn't say one thing about the declaration being conservative or not.

Disagree they batted okay to begin with because there was a chance that India might have made inroads and scuttled them out but a lot of those runs they scored at the end were superfluous. It probably won't make a difference now.
